Enquête Media 2000
Les
journalistes de l'environnement lancent la première enquête
internationale relative aux besoins en formation et en information
des professionnels des médias.
Une première
étape avant de mettre en oeuvre un programme de formation
répondant à ces attentes.
Les journalistes et
professionnels des média, travaillant dans les domaines de
l'environnement, la protection de la nature et le développement
durable, rencontrent des difficultés pour mener leurs
enquêtes, vérifier les informations, jongler avec les
données scientifiques, économiques, techniques...
Ces besoins spécifiques en informations et
formation sont mal connus et ils varient d'un pays, et d'une
région du globe à l'autre. Afin de mieux identifier
cette demande potentielle de formation, qui permettrait
d'améliorer les conditions de travail des journalistes, une
enquête mondiale est lancée via l'Internet.
Le
questionnaire est disponible en 4 langues (anglais, français,
espagnol et allemand) restera en ligne jusqu'au janvier 2001.

La conception de l'enquête revient à Louisette
Gouverne (LG) et Michael Schweres (MS), journalistes et
directeurs de la Fédération internationale des
journalistes de l'environnement (FIJE), qui en assurent également
la mise en oeuvre.
Les réponses au questionnaire
seront analysées globalement par un sociologue, Dr.
Frithjof Zerger, dont le travail de synthèse sera
présenté lors du 8eme congrès de
la FIJE du 13 au 19 novembre 2000 au Caire en Egypte et publié
ultérieurement.
Les journalistes ayant répondu
au questionnaire recevront un annuaire international des
professionnels des medias, édité à la suite
de cette enquête. Cette analyse constitue seulement une
première étape. L'objectif du projet est de
proposer, les prochaines années, des outils de formation
ou de recherche d'information adaptés aux attentes
des journalistes dans différentes régions du monde.
Ce programme de formation sera mis en oeuvre avec d'autres
organisations.

Global Media Survey 2000
Environment journalists launch the first worldwide survey
on the education, further training and information needs of
journalists and media professionals All over the world,
journalists work on subjects such as "the environment",
"the protection of nature", "sustainable
development".
In doing so, it is becoming more and
more difficult to verify information or to put scientific,
technical or economic data into the right context. The needs of
those working in the media regarding information are, to a great
extent, not known, especially as they differ considerably from
country to country. Which type of education or which training
could facilitate and improve journalistsÕ work?
In
order to get to know these needs (better), this first worldwide
survey amongst journalists and media professionals is being
conducted via the Internet.
The survey will be online in 4
languages (English, French, Spanish and German) until january

The media survey constitutes the start and the first stage
of a more far-reaching project: In cooperation with various
organizations, education and further training for journalists are
to be offered and working aids and media to be elaborated in
different regions of the world which take the real needs of our
colleagues into account. The concept of the media survey was
worked out by the journalists and managing directors of the
International Federation of Environmental Journalists IFEJ
Louisette Gouverne and Michael Schweres, who are
also leading the project.
This media survey is being
evaluated together with the Munich sociologist Dr Frithjof
Zerger. A preliminary analysis will be presented at the 8th
International Environment JournalistsÕ Congress from 13th
to 19th November in Cairo, Egypt. The complete detailed
documentation of the study is planned for the beginning of 2001.
The colleagues who participate in this study will receive
a first current and global index of addresses of journalists and
media professionals on completion of the project.

Globale Medienuntersuchung 2000
Umweltjournalisten starten erste weltweite Umfrage zu
Ausbildung, Fortbildung und InformationbedÜrfnissen von
Journalisten und Medienarbeitern Überall in der Welt arbeiten
Journalisten und Journalistinnen zu Themen wie "Umwelt",
"Naturschutz", "Nachhaltige Entwicklung".
Es
wird dabei immer schwieriger, Informationen zu verifizieren oder
wissenschaftliche, technische oder ökonomische Daten in den
richtigen Kontext zu stellen. Die InformationsbedÜrfnisse von
Medienarbeitern sind weitgehend unbekannt, zumal sie sich von Land
zu Land erheblich unterscheiden. Welche Ausbildung oder welche
Fortbildung könnte die Arbeit von Journalisten erleichtern
und verbessern? Um solche BedÜrfnisse (besser)
kennenzulernen, wird diese erste weltweite Umfrage unter
Journalisten und Medienarbeitern via Internet durchgefÜhrt.

Die Medienuntersuchung ist Auftakt und erste Etappe eines
weitergehenden Projektes : In Zusammenarbeit mit unterschiedlichen
Organisationen sollen in verschiedenen Regionen der Welt Aus- und
Fortbildungsmassnahmen für Journalisten angeboten oder
Arbeitshilfsmittel und Medien erarbeitet werden, die den
tatsächlichen Bedürfnissen der Kolleginnen und Kollegen
Rechnung tragen.
Ausgearbeitet wurde das Konzept der
Medienuntersuchung von den Journalisten und GeschaftsfÜhrern
der internationalen Umweltjournalistenorganisation IFEJ Louisette
Gouverne und Michael Schweres, die das Projekt auch
leiten. Diese Medienumfrage wird gemeinsam mit dem MÜnchner
Soziologen Dr. Frithjof Zerger ausgewertet. Eine erste
Analyse wird auf dem 8. Internationalen Umweltjournalistenkongress
vom 13. bis 19. November in Kairo, €gypten, vorgestellt.
Die ausfÜhrliche Dokumentation der Studie ist fÜr
den Beginn des Jahres 2001 geplant. Kolleginnen und Kollegen, die
an dieser Untersuchung teilnehmen, erhalten nach Abschluss des
Projektes ein erstes aktuelles und globales Adressverzeichniss von

Investigación mundial de medios de
comunicación 2000
Periodistas especializados en
medio ambiente dan inicio a la primera encuesta en torno a la
formación básica, formación especializada y
necesidades de información de periodistas y profesionales
de los medios de comunicación.
En todo el mundo hay
periodistas que trabajan temas tales como: “medio ambiente”,
“protección ambiental” y “desarrollo
sostenible”. Para realizar este trabajo resulta cada vez más
difícil verificar la información que se necesita o
contextualizar correctamente datos científicos, técnicos
o económicos.
Las necesidades de información
que pudieran tener los profesionales de los medios de comunicación
son en gran medida desconocidas; sobre todo tomando en cuenta que
estas necesidades varían considerablemente de país a
país.
¿Qué tipo de formación básica
o especializada podría facilitar y mejorar el trabajo de
periodistas? Para conocer mejor las carencias en el trabajo de
periodistas, se lleva a cabo a través de internet esta
primera encuesta mundial para periodistas y profesionales de los
medios de comunicación.
La encuesta aparecerá
on line por internet, en cuatro idiomas distintos (inglés,
francés, español y alemán) y hasta enero

Esta
investigación de medios es el preludio y la primera etapa
de un proyecto más extenso: en cooperación con
diversas organizaciones se tiene por meta, en distintas partes del
mundo, ofrecer posibilidades de formación básica y
especializada para periodistas, así como elaborar
materiales y recursos auxiliares que cubran las necesidades reales
de trabajo de compañeras y compañeros.
La
elaboración conceptual de esta investigación de
medios es obra de los periodistas y gerentes administrativos de la
organización internacional del medio ambiente, IFEJ
(Federación Internacional de Periodistas Ambientales):
Louisette Gouverne y Michael Schweres, que a su vez
dirigen el proyecto.
La encuesta será evaluada en
trabajo conjunto por el Dr. Frithjof Zerger, sociólogo
de Munich, Alemania. Un primer análisis será
presentado en el octavo congreso internacional de periodistas
especializados en medio ambiente, que tendrá lugar del 13
al 19 de noviembre en El Cairo, Egipto.
Una documentación
detallada como resultado de esta investigación está
planeada para principios del año 2001. Compañeras y
compañeros del periodismo que quieran participar en esta
investigación, obtendrán, una vez concluido el
proyecto, un directorio mundial actualizado sobre periodistas y
profesionales de los medios de comunicación.
